Oklahoma Veterinary Technician Association
OVTA serves the interests of many registered veterinary technicians, technician students, and veterinary assistants in our state. We strive to define and improve the standards of veterinary medicine through legislation and education. OVTA also wishes to promote and maintain a cooperative professional relationship with the veterinary medical profession and its affiliated associations.
What Do We Do?Serve as an informational resource for our membership via our quarterly newsletter, website, and meetings.
Participate in the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America's network of state representatives.
Promote a good working relationship between veterinarians and technicians by working with the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association.
Periodic review and input regarding the Oklahoma Veterinary Practice Act in collaboration with the Oklahoma State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
Market the profession of Veterinary Technology.
Educate the public about the important role of the registered veterinary technician within the veterinary medical profession.
